Local children can step into the spotlight next month with a special theatre skills workshop as part of the City of Parramatta’s Autumn School Holiday Program.
Theatre Skills Workshop at PHIVE
Led by the talented team at Monkey Baa Theatre Company, PHIVE will host a two-day Theatre Skills Workshop on April 28 and 29. This drop-off event, aimed at kids aged 7 to 12, gives children the chance to explore acting, improvisation, and other essential theatre skills, while parents enjoy a worry-free day.
Lord Mayor’s Statement
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor, Cr Martin Zaiter, emphasized how the event offers a helping hand to parents and carers over the school holidays. “This event gives parents the ultimate flexibility – you can drop off your child for an entire day of fun, giving them a fantastic opportunity to dive into the world of theatre,” Cr Zaiter said. “We’re excited to offer such a unique program for kids to engage in a fun, hands-on educational experience. It’s a win-win for kids and their parents.”
More Holiday Fun
This workshop is just one of many events offered through the City of Parramatta’s Autumn School Holiday Program. With a variety of activities across multiple locations, there’s no shortage of ways to keep kids entertained during the break.
“At PHIVE, we’re proud to provide enriching arts and community initiatives that give children creative opportunities,” Cr Zaiter added.
Parents can rest easy knowing their kids are engaging in an educational and creative experience this school holiday season.
