As the National Day holiday approaches, the Health Ministry has issued a directive ensuring that healthcare facilities across the country remain fully operational and ready to handle patient needs without delay.
The Ministry’s Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management has called on all medical institutions to uphold uninterrupted service during the National Day holiday on September 2. The directive emphasizes the importance of maintaining adequate staffing levels across all roles, including leadership, administrative, and security positions.
Hospitals are required to have comprehensive emergency services in place, ensuring that all patients receive timely examination and treatment. Any cases requiring emergency care outside of a facility’s specialized area should be initially stabilized and carefully explained to the patient and their family before being transferred to a more suitable medical center.
Facilities must bolster their emergency readiness by increasing personnel, equipment, and medical supplies to handle potential traffic accident casualties and other emergencies. Medical teams must be on standby to address mass casualties, major accidents, or large-scale disasters promptly.
Additionally, healthcare providers are instructed to ensure food safety, prevent incidents of food poisoning and drowning, and alert the public about potential accidents in crowded tourist areas. Continuous hotlines must be maintained to offer support throughout the holiday.
In the case of unusual developments, such as disease outbreaks or other urgent situations, medical units must immediately report to management agencies via hotline and submit detailed written reports for swift action and resolution.
