Fireworks Sales Soar Ahead of July 4th Festivities

by CiCi

Gabe Douglas, the manager of Wholesale Fireworks on Deer Creek Road in Glenrock, highlighted the peak season, saying, “This is our busiest time of the year. The Fourth of July is synonymous with fireworks for many, and people are enthusiastic about celebrating.”

In the days leading up to the Fourth, Wholesale Fireworks is bustling with customers eager to prepare for their holiday festivities. The Fourth of July is often a family-centric event, with the store welcoming multiple generations of visitors. Regardless of age, fireworks tend to evoke a sense of childhood wonder and nostalgia.

Douglas observed, “Our customers exhibit a subtle excitement and a lot of nostalgia. They often reminisce about the fireworks they enjoyed in their youth, requesting items like sparklers, firecrackers, and Black Cats. For many, it’s a tangible way to express their holiday excitement.”

For those looking to set off their own fireworks this holiday, the Glenrock and Converse County Fire Departments are offering support. Their annual fireworks event provides a safe environment for families to celebrate, complete with expert advice and backup if needed.

The event will take place on July 4 and 5 at the Glenrock South Recreation Complex from 7 pm to midnight. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own fireworks for the celebration.
