As Thanksgiving approaches, both Bismarck and Minot have announced adjustments to government services for the holiday week.
In Minot, all government offices, including Public Works and Municipal Court, will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. City buses will also not be running on Thursday, and garbage collection will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday instead.
Bismarck will follow a similar schedule, with government offices and city buses closed on Thanksgiving. However, garbage collection will occur as usual from Monday to Wednesday, with Thanksgiving’s collection postponed until Friday. Residents are reminded to set out their garbage and recycling by 6 AM on the day of collection.
For more details on how Thanksgiving affects local services, residents are encouraged to visit their respective city government websites.
