The United States Mint will start selling its 2024 Holiday Ornaments, including the popular Mighty Minters™ Ornament, on October 1 at noon ET. Customers can order without limits on household quantities.
For the sixth consecutive year, the Mint is offering these collectible ornaments, each featuring an uncirculated 2024 Kennedy Half Dollar. The back of the ornaments showcases an engraved United States Mint seal, along with the phrases “Made in the USA” and “©2024 U.S. Mint.” Crafted from solid brass and finished with imitation rhodium, the ornaments exhibit a silver-like sheen.
The Mighty Minters Ornament for 2024, themed “Giving Gifts of Gratitude,” illustrates characters Lina, Eli, and Timothy delivering gifts, with Timothy pulling a sleigh that carries a large gift displaying the Kennedy Half Dollar’s reverse. A festive red ribbon is featured, flanked by snowflakes, along with the year and Mint’s name.
The United States Mint Ornament this year boasts a wreath design that highlights the half dollar’s reverse, surrounded by text and festive imagery, including holly and poinsettias. Each ornament comes in a stylish blue box with a silver hot-stamped lid and includes a certificate of authenticity.
Established in 1792, the United States Mint is the nation’s sole manufacturer of legal tender coinage, producing not only circulating coins but also numismatic products such as proof and commemorative coins, and Congressional Gold Medals, operating without taxpayer funding.
