Seoul Postal Workers Prepare for Chuseok Surge

by CiCi

In anticipation of the Chuseok holiday, postal workers at the East Seoul Post Logistics Center are working diligently to process a high volume of parcels. The Chuseok festival, a significant autumn harvest celebration in South Korea, is one of the country’s major traditional holidays and is set to take place on September 17 this year.

On September 10, 2024, workers were seen managing the influx of packages for door-to-door delivery, ensuring that residents receive their gifts and festive supplies in time for the holiday. This period is notably busy for postal services, reflecting the tradition of sending gifts and food items during Chuseok.

Chuseok, aligned with the lunar calendar, brings together families and communities to celebrate the harvest season and honor ancestors, making it a pivotal time for logistics and delivery services in Korea.
