In a recent price check conducted by Which? Travel, Ibiza has been highlighted as one of this summer’s most cost-effective last-minute holiday destinations. The analysis, encompassing over 3,700 available summer holiday packages, identifies Ibiza alongside other budget-friendly options such as Morocco’s west coast and family favorites like Tenerife.
Researchers from Which? examined more than 3,500 package holidays still open for booking this summer across leading UK holiday providers Jet2 and TUI. Their findings reveal that Ibiza ranks among the top ten cheapest destinations for all-inclusive breaks, alongside Mallorca, Fuerteventura, and traditional low-cost spots in Turkey and Bulgaria.
Leading the list of economical all-inclusive breaks are Morocco’s Agadir and Taghazout, priced at £1,041 per person on average for a week-long stay in early August. Ibiza follows closely with an average cost of £1,046 per person, benefiting from a range of moderately priced accommodations starting from £804 per person.
For those seeking more affordable options beyond all-inclusive deals, room-only, self-catering, B&B, and half-board packages were also reviewed. Turkish resorts like Dalaman and Bodrum offer particularly wallet-friendly rates, averaging £781 and £800 per person respectively. Greece’s Kalymnos and the Campania region in Italy also stand out as attractive alternatives for budget-conscious travelers.
Rory Boland, Editor of Which? Travel, emphasized the importance of booking soon to secure the best prices: “Our analysis shows you can have your pick of amazing destinations this summer without spending a fortune. As departure dates draw nearer, prices are likely to rise, so early booking is advisable to maximize savings.”
This summer’s travel landscape offers a variety of affordable choices, from lively party scenes in Ibiza to serene beaches along Morocco’s coastline, catering to diverse holiday preferences and budgets alike.
